It is with great pleasure that I’d like to introduce and welcome Nate Moxley as the new Lettuce Link Program Manager. Nate started with us last week and he has hit the ground running! Fortunately we are able to overlap for training and a smooth transition until my last day on August 8th.
Nate comes to us from the P-Patch Program though the City of Seattle’s Department of Neighborhoods. As a Community Garden Coordinator for the P-Patch Program, Nate worked with a wide diversity of communities and people throughout Seattle. Some of his other experiences include being a youth mentor and instructor at Ground UP Organics, serving as the executive director of the Service Board, and working as a community organizer with the Community Coalition for Environmental Justice. Nate ignited his passion for gardening and all things green while pursuing an environmental studies degree from Western Washington University. He is dedicated to working towards social justice and enjoys native perennials, permaculture, and teaching youth how to grow and cook vegetables.We are looking forward to the coming years with Nate and new sprouts that will surely come with his new leadership!
