Pruning at Marra Farm
On a sunny Saturday afternoon at the end of February, some dedicated volunteers gathered at Marra Farm to prune the fruit trees. Marra Farm has over 60 fruit trees, including apples, Asian pears, pears, plums, quince, figs, kiwis, filberts and grapes.
When trees are pruned, it encourages fruit production, so we can have more tasty fruit to share with the Providence Regina House Food Bank in the fall!
